Episode details: How to Create and IoT Hardware Platform
About Andrew Scheuermann and Arch Systems:
Andrew is the CEO and Cofounder of Arch Systems, building performance sensors for legacy machines. Arch’s technology makes it over 10x faster and cheaper to build new sensor systems made possible by completely modular hardware/software and SensorGraph, a large scale graph processing algorithm.
Arch’s modular and open source hardware called IOTile allows partner companies to design any connected device they want and get to scale in weeks, not months or years. In 2016 Andrew was named on the Forbes 30-under-30 list.
Before Arch, he helped build StartX, one of the top startup accelerators in the world, and helped scores of early-wave IoT companies. He holds a Ph.D. in semiconductor electronics from Stanford, publishing over 15 papers, and accomplishing the world record in silicon photo anode efficiency. He is passionate about IoT and its promise to build a more connected and sustainable Earth.
